STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
At Effra we believe we must prepare our children for the future. It is important that children learn about the possibilities of science, technology, engineering and maths in the real world and in an age appropriate way. Our STEM curriculum fits alongside and compliments the EYFS curriculum and allows us to develop a passion and enthusiasm in young children for the world around them and to see a practical use for the skills they learn while they are at Effra nursery school.
We use trips to spark the imaginations of our your learners and to consolidate the learning they have enjoyed in the classroom. For example, we use the Science Museum, trips to the Southbank to look at the engineering of bridges and the London Eye, as well as local places of interest.
