Learning outdoors

The outside learning environment is as important as the classroom areas. Children enjoy playing outside and the development of their physical skills promotes their intellectual development.  The range of activities offered outside supports children’s learning in all areas of the curriculum.

Children at Effra go outside in all weathers and we have raincoats, waterproof trousers and Wellington boots for all children; you are welcome to bring your own too!
