Volunteer programme

Volunteers are a truly invaluable asset to our organisation as they support the smooth running of our nurseries and children’s centre sessions with their own specific skills. From gardening, cooking and supporting our admin teams with organisational skills to sharing their experience in specialised language groups, every volunteer brings something new to the table.

We started our Volunteer scheme in January 2017 and since then we’ve had over 40 lovely volunteers pass through our doors, supporting us in many different areas within our organisation. Due to the pandemic our volunteer scheme had to take a break for a couple years, however it was successfully reinstated in January 2022.
We offer our volunteers opportunities for training and development, as well as gaining experience of working with children and adults, as a part of the team. We run various workshops for volunteers and support them in sourcing and enrolment in courses. For many of our volunteers this was the first step in their career, as about 50% of them have since moved on to paid employment.

We are always looking for new faces to join our team, either in the classroom, children’s centre or as an admin support.
